The History of the Teapot
This song seems timeless, but it was actually written in 1939 by George Harold Sanders and Clarence Z. Kelley. Kelley and his wife ran a dance school, and the song was originally created for very young dance students who were having trouble mastering the complicated “Waltz Clog” dance step. They needed something easy and fun to practice the rhythm!
